    Modern and captivating

    The story of Achilles from a different view. Briseis is an extremely interesting narrator and the whole read is fast paced and full of wonderful descriptions.

Pat Barker, dopo aver studiato alla London School of Economics, ha insegnato Storia. È autrice di numerosi romanzi, tra i quali la celebre trilogia Rigenerazione (Il Melangolo 1997) e vincitrice del Man Booker Prize nel 1995. Venduto in venti Paesi, Il silenzio delle ragazze è stato pubblicato nel 2019 da Einaudi. Nel 2022 esce, sempre con Einaudi, Il pianto delle Troiane.
