Sometimes it Just isn't About You

I was a young man of about twenty five. Up to then, I had worked hard and applied myself. I had been taught honesty and hard work would make things go well. That's how it was up until this point in my life. I found myself in an intolerable situation that caused a near mental breakdown. But I was rescued at the right moment, in a most unexpected way. Life has been very good ever since. Sometimes life's lessons are hard learned. Sometimes, you are the teacher and you don't even know it. We are being watched over and directed. Sometimes life seems like bad luck. But maybe it isn't. Maybe there's a purpose to it. Sometimes, even though you might be saying to yourself, "Why Me!" Maybe it really isn't about you. This is the story about how I found myself in a situation like this. Everything was going wrong. Nothing was right. But it all changed one day, and after a time, I understood why it happened. It wasn't about me. It was bigger than that.
