Somewhere Out There is a story of one person's experience with being adopted. Most adopted children do not have any medical history or accurate information on their story. The author's search for a medical history sheds light on the many barriers that adopted children face trying to get information. Adopted from Homestead Maternity Home in Fort Worth, Texas, she learns how the agency "marketed" their services and the similar stories told to adoptive parents.
