This audiobook is narrated by a digital voice. In Still I Sing: A Song of Love, Nora Jensen is a grieving widow searching for purpose in the hollow silence left behind by her husband, Samuel—a beloved musician, teacher, and partner of over four decades. When she finds a forgotten cassette tape labeled “Love’s First Draft,” recorded by Samuel before his passing, Nora is drawn into a journey of healing through the unfinished song he left behind. As she uncovers old memories, rereads his journals, and slowly begins to play music again, Nora’s quiet home transforms into a sanctuary of grace. Guided by her husband’s legacy and her unshakable faith, she finds the courage to compose, to sing, and eventually to share the song with the world. Through community, worship, and the gentle promptings of God’s Spirit, Nora rediscovers the truth: while human love may fade from sight, God’s love never ends—and even in the ache of loss, we are invited to sing. This story is deeply personal. My grandmother lived with our family my entire life—first in an attached duplex, and later in an apartment built onto our home. I never knew my grandfather; he passed away before I was born. But I grew up with her presence woven into our daily life—a quiet, loving constant. I often thought about what it must have been like for her to lose him, to live on in the space they once shared, and to carry the weight of grief in such solitude. Still I Sing: A Song of Love was born, in part, from those reflections—my imagining of how she might have felt, how she might have healed, and how she might have found her voice again after such a loss. This story is a tribute to her strength, to enduring love, and to the grace of God that carries us through even the most silent seasons.
