The Light Within the Chains

Through his suffering, he experiences a Gnostic awakening, realizing that while his body is bound by iron, his consciousness is an uncontainable spark of the divine. As Julian moves toward his inevitable execution, his internal transformation becomes an external force. He no longer views his captors with hatred, but with a transcendent pity that unnerves them.
