• ‘Toward A Just Pedagogy Of Performance’ is the only project of its kind focusing on historical narratives and curriculum/ programming design. • This collection combines classroom expertise, experience in artistic practice, and an investment in theory (queer, critical race, postcolonial, disability, Marxist, etc.) with a political agenda. These pieces are written by artists, graduate students, teachers, administrators, and undergraduates; these are expressions of hope and of experience, and not of dogma. • The cloest competitor that address similar issues in dramatic production differ in that they focus specifically on actor pedagogy and dramaturgy or look at social issues outside of theatre and performance studies so lack the same relevancy.
