Verity è disturbante, teso e incredibilmente coinvolgente. Colleen Hoover cambia completamente registro e costruisce una storia che ti tiene in costante disagio, nel senso migliore del termine. Nulla è come sembra e ogni pagina aumenta il senso di inquietudine. Una lettura che cattura e sconvolge fino all’ultima riga.

É il secondo libro che leggo della Hoover e devo dire che quest’autrice é una sorpresa. Si tratta di un thriller, di un triangolo amoroso tra Lowen, scrittrice, Jeremy, sposato con Verity, scrittrice di successo, rimasta invalida a seguito di un incidente. Lowen accetterà l’incarico di continuare a scrivere la saga di successo iniziata da Verity, trasferendosi, allo scopo, a casa di Jeremy, Verity e del figlio Crew. Qui si imbatterà nel manoscritto dell’autobiografia di Verity, e scoprirà i dettagli più agghiaccianti riguardanti un trauma che li ha segnati in passato e sui segreti più terribili che la moglie nascondeva al marito.. Un thriller mozzafiato, con delle scene agghiaccianti e un finale che lascia col fiato sospeso e la sensazione di avere frainteso tutti i personaggi…Spettacolare!
