    I don’t care what everyone says about the author, this book was good, I liked the spooky vibe and the cliffhangers, and the plot twist in the end was top tier

    mixed feelings

    this book left me with mixed feelings: 2.5/5 as i started reading it, i wasn’t sure i wanted romance but when the atmosphere became eerie i couldn’t leave it! unfortunately all the (predictable??) plot twists and all the sex scenes didn’t make me enjoy the book as i wished and expected, still i think it was interesting. i mean, sex in books is okay, but were all these descriptions necessary to the plot? so detailed? you may say “yes, see the big final revelation”, but for me… maybe it’s just me, and it’s not my cup of tea since it’s OBVIOUS the author is a female and it’s full of clichés. last but not least it was a good story, had it been more focused on the task lowen had to carry out, it would have been even more interesting - once again here is me, having a soft spot for books talking about books

    Lowen è una scrittrice che crede poco in se stessa fino a quando si presenta l’occasione di una vita: completare la serie di libri di Verity Crawford che è impossibilitata a scrivere per un incidente stradale. Accettando, Lowen si addentra nella vita professionale e personale di Verity quando scopre un manoscritto che sembra essere la sua autobiografia inedita. Le pagine sono fitte di orrori e segreti. L’autrice ha avuto un’idea brillante da vero thriller verso la fine ribaltando le carte in tavola, ma è un romanzo aberrante che parla solo di coiti 🫠🤦🏻‍♀️ 6,5/10
