George Pelecanos

George Pelecanos è uno scrittore statunitense di origine greca, nato a Washington D.C. nel 1957. Prima di raggiungere la fama con i suoi ventuno romanzi premiati in tutto il mondo, Pelecanos ha fatto numerosi lavori che spesso ritroviamo svolti dai personaggi delle sue opere: dal lavapiatti al barista, dal commesso specializzato in scarpe da donna al cuoco. La sua fama va inoltre ricondotta all’attività di sceneggiatore per famose serie TV come The Wire e The Deuce. Pelecanos ha anche collaborato con i fratelli Coen e scritto una miniserie prodotta da Steven Spielberg e Tom Hanks. Con SEM ha pubblicato L’uomo che amava i libri (2020).
