Winter Carols (2021 2 CD Edition)

November 19th, 2021, sees the relaunch of BLACKMORE’S NIGHT’s classic album “Winter Carols”, originally released in 2006. The 2021 version has been carefully remastered in late summer this year and, moreover, includes a brand-new song: ‘Coventry Carol’. The beautiful BLACKMORE’S NIGHT interpretation of this English Christmas carol, originally dating from the 16th century, comes with additional lyrics by award-winning lyricist and vocalist Candice Night and new musical arrangements by legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. The album also contains a remastered version of 'Christmas Eve', the band’s successful and timeless Christmas single, as well as the four festive tracks ‘Here We Come A-Caroling’, ‘It Came Upon A Midnight Clear’, ‘O Little Town Of Bethlehem’ and ‘Silent Night’, previously unavailable in this format. Following traditional Holiday music back to its roots, Candice Night and Ritchie Blackmore are again successfully mixing Rock and Folk elements with the love for the Renaissance era, musically converted into their own unmistakable sound.
