Sylvia Gower wrote about Elizabeth Goudge's life and writing, and shared her experience of visiting the locations which inspired the settings in her books - for instance, Wells which becomes the fictional Torminster. This is a book which is a 'must have' for all those who love Elizabeth Goudge's books, and it is a wonderful book to read, even if you are not a fan. It is illustrated with many photographs of the different locations, and indeed of Elizabeth Goudge herself.
