The Afterall

The Afterlife exists, but not as you know it. There are no pearly gates, no weighing of hearts, no rivers to be crossed – just a mundane office, a clerk, and a lot of paperwork. The green stamp lets you through the door behind the desk, and the red stamp… well, you don’t want to know what the red stamp does. You would think that this should suit Brian Brown, but it doesn’t. Because there has been a mistake. Brian Brown isn’t dead. Not quite. And now he is very late for work… As he battles valiantly to complete his commute, Brian must navigate the whims of a petulant God, grapple with the necessity of Death – who insists he is just doing his job – and fathom the nature of Time; an overworked matron who is tired of it all.
