Charlie is a millionaire. But since a gruesome accident his life has went to hell. Unfortunately money hasn't bought him happiness and the only thing that has helped him overcome his crippling depression is his best friend Bob. Charlie needs more in life. The sleepy city of Wolfinshire is just too mundane. He searches through historic records in hopes of discovering the unseen magic he knows is out there in the world. Then he discovers an ancient secret society that initiates people on rare blood moons; that has been around since the viking era. He knows about them and now they know about him too. He willingly signs up to a contest that will bring a great treasure. This is a game where many winners gain the ultimate freedom, it just depends on if you get to live long enough to enjoy it. In Charlie's case he will gain the one thing his soul craves the most. But can he live with the fact that Bob got entered into the contest accidently too? Charlie loves his best friend but would Bob sacrifice everything for him? He will have to decide if his friendship is worth his place in the secret society or not. Either way the dead bodies are piling up.
