Defending the Barrens

Lucifer is consumed with worry for his clan. The new leadership has taken the reins of the Animals, but their anticipated revival has faltered. On top of his concerns he knows he must atone for his sins under the former leadership. Resolving to make amends, he ventures into the Barrens to forge an alliance crucial for his clan's safety. Zenobia and Kai have been the steadfast leaders of the Vampires for years. Zenobia rules with an iron will, and Kai stands as her devoted second. Yet, a void lingers within both of them. Until Lucifer strides back into their camp flaming up desires neither thought they could have for the man they should despise. The connection between the three of them is undeniable and unexpected leading to a relationship they all know is fleeting. Lucifer is only there to pay off a debt in order to try and establish an alliance for his clan. Once his debt is paid and the alliance solidified, Lucifer will be on his way back to his clan. However, when everything comes crashing around the Vampires forcing the three of them to unite and fight for what they love most. Can the three of them unite to defend what's most precious? Or are they doomed for a tragic end?
