Ten years ago, Dawn Evans devastated her daughter with news that would change her life forever. Jack and Dawn Evans were getting divorced. Set around the fictional Sheraton Moss estate in Teesside, this story follows the emotional turmoil of a distraught teenager, as she comes to terms with the divorce of her parents and the horrific events that surround it. She struggles desperately as problem after problem bombards her, not only does she have her family issues to deal with but she also has the residents of the estate to contend with. With grim determination, she tries to defend herself against the horrors of her life, when Gary, her mum's new partner, moves in her problems don't get any better - in fact they get worse...As Gary and Dawn endeavour to make a new life for themselves, away from Jack's abusive influence, they seem to be blighted at every turn and there is nothing anyone can do to help them. This story is based on the real events suffered by a troubled teenager.
