This book explores the collaborative and interwoven world of male and female Quaker autobiographers in the late seventeenth century. Using cultural semiotics as a guiding framework, it reveals how spiritual experience and self-representation emerge through mutual influence, shared narrative patterns, and active participation across texts. Voices intertwine, echo, and reinforce one another, creating a collective literary space in which gendered perspectives enrich and shape spiritual expression.
