The Jinn
Rod always knew there was something wrong with his parents. He hated them for sending him to boarding school halfway around the world and never letting him come home for the holidays. Rod joked around about his mother and father being monsters. Then, a week before he graduated from school, Rod started to see strangers around the school grounds. If this school had been near a town, Rod would have thought nothing of the men and women, but his school was deep in the Pyrenees mountains in southern France. Rod had a plan to escape his parents; he didn't know his life depended on his running away. Unknown to his father Rod had been investing all the money he had been sent over the years. On his graduation day, Rod saw how much danger he was in when a stranger tried to grab him. On his first day on the run from his family, Rod stole an ancient Citroen 2cv and drove off into the mountains, knowing he would have to climb over the Pyrenees into Spain. Once Rod reached safety, he was told a great secret, one his and other great families of the world have fought to hide. Rod learned his family and others' great wealth and power came from creatures.
