John Leland è un giornalista e scrittore statunitense. Scrive per il "New York Times" e ha precedentemente lavorato per testate come "Newsweek", "Details" e "Newsday". Bestseller del New York Times, Scegliere di essere felici (Solferino, 2018) è il suo primo libro tradotto in Italia. Ha inoltre scritto Hip: The History (2004) e Why Kerouac Matters: The Lessons of «On the Road» (They’re Not What You Think) (2007).
