The Maharaja’s Bodyguard

Does it matter where you come from? Can your ancestors change your future? What hidden forces in our possession can be unleashed if only we knew how? Haroun must choose between wielding magical powers conferred upon him as the Maharaja’s Bodyguard in the 1800s or remain in 1960s Britain, being bullied at school and caring for his frail mother. She grieves for his father who mysteriously disappeared. Haroun comes to love the life of a warrior, of wearing armour, bearing two swords and a shield, and putting right the wrongs of past dictators. Being a time warrior involves sacrifice, and soon he is no longer in control. He loses everyone dear to him, his mother, and Isaac, his only friend and guide. He vows to give up the powers, to save his love Clarissa from explosive childhood flashbacks. Despite the promise, he embarks on a final dangerous mission to prevent her parents’ horrific murder.
