Nome d'arte di G. Kent Marsciarelli, regista statunitense. Tra gli ideatori del telefilm culto Happy Days, negli anni '80 si specializza in commedie amarognole (Spiagge, 1988) che lo rivelano buon direttore d'attori. Tale aspetto si salda con una certa propensione per la favola alto-borghese in Pretty Woman (1990), versione riveduta e corretta del Pigmalione di G.B. Shaw, in chiave da sophisticated comedy anni '90, interpretata da J. Roberts e R. Gere, che diventa un autentico fenomeno di costume. Prigioniero del suo stesso cliché, con Se scappi ti sposo (1999) ripropone la medesima coppia di attori, ma senza la frivola leggerezza del prototipo. Più riuscito il duetto Pacino-Pfeiffer in Paura d'amare (1991), piccola storia d'amore tra perdenti. Confeziona quindi commedie al femminile per adolescenti...
