My Jamaican Father

A true story about a Jamaican man, who travelled to England, during the Second World War. He had been recruited into the British Royal Air Force, on the island of Jamaica. I trace his journey and how it was. After a while, he left the military and settled in Nottingham. There, he found work as a coal miner I tell the story of his life, through the decades, until the year 2014, when he passed away. Life for him wasn't all rosy........ Prejudices of the British people........ The sudden death of his five year old son........ The slow decline of his wife's mental health, was apparent, leaving her hospitalised...... His family were left homeless, when a business venture went awry.......... Finally settling in a nice neighbourhood, tragedy reared its ugly head again, this time, his other son appeared to commit suicide.......
