Psychoanalysis on Borders, Limits and Beyond

Psychoanalysis meets a world shaped by borders, limits, and divisions. From political division and migration to digital culture and the lasting effects of the COVID pandemic, this book explores how boundaries – between people, nations, disciplines, and even within ourselves – shape the way we live, think, and relate to others. Bringing together voices from psychoanalysis and philosophy, it offers a fresh look at today’s most pressing tensions, ranging from political conflict and social fragmentation to personal identity and emotional life. What sets this volume apart is its ability to connect intimate human experience with global realities, showing how the same forces that divide societies also operate within the psyche. Clear and thought-provoking, it invites readers to rethink familiar ideas about difference, connection, and responsibility in a rapidly changing world.
