A risky affair goes badly awry, in this crime thriller set in a deceptively idyllic English village from the author of The Things I Didn’t Do. In their pretty countryside home, Agnes and Fin appear to be just another happily married couple among their neighbours. But their attempts to conceive a child have failed, and amid the tension and pressure, they begin to experiment with their relationship. However, when Agnes engages in the same practice with her lover, the man across the street, it has far reaching consequences.
