The Science Of Reincarnation

In Vedic philosophy, the soul's journey through reincarnation is viewed as a gradual process of spiritual evolution, where the soul is continually learning, purifying itself, and moving closer to freedom. The soul, or atman, is considered eternal and indestructible, distinct from the body, and it experiences birth, death, and rebirth through countless lifetimes in the cycle known as samsara. The driving force behind the soul’s journey is karma—the law of cause and effect. The cycle of reincarnation offers the soul the opportunity to shed the illusion of being separate from the divine and to awaken to its eternal, spiritual essence. This realization comes through knowledge (jnana), devotion (bhakti), and righteous living (dharma). Through spiritual practices, the soul learns that its true identity is not tied to the body or the fleeting experiences of the material world, but rather, it is a reflection of the Supreme or Krishna.
