"Prediction is very difficult - especially about the future". Is the future already mapped out, a path that we are following? Or is the future unwritten, made up of endless possibilities? When a stranger knocks at her door in the middle of the night, Hannah Siggers is given the opportunity to find out. While Hannah was not looking to be the person to save humanity from extinction, Torben Christiansen was trying to change the world. He just didn't know how. As a result, when he switches on his invention for the first time, he inadvertently creates a link with another machine a long, long way away.
