Mike Speed was no ordinary boy. He had a talent. He was fast. Very fast. But even that might not be enough for him to pass the gruelling tasks in his first year at Wimford Academy, the finest hero school in the land. His new friends in Bronze Dormitory had special gifts too, although some of these did not appear to be very useful, it has to be said. When would you actually need a slow motion man to help you?
