Ethnomusicology

Ethnomusicology is the study of music within its cultural and social contexts. Unlike traditional musicology, which often focuses on musical structures, compositions, and theories, ethnomusicology examines music as a human activity that reflects the beliefs, values, and traditions of the societies that create and sustain it.
