"I set out to search for trust. But what I actually found was the pure longing for it. Longings that drew me to a diversity of people, encounters and attitudes towards life, as well as bringing both: hope and failure. As diverse as people are, there is something that connects us all; the longing for something we can trust."

The book is about immediacy and honesty. It is reflected in the artistic realisation of the book's layout. The interaction of black and white pictures and watercolourlike portraits forces the viewer time and again to get embark upon new experience. in Longings I want to unite my own and other peoplès stories as genuinely as possible.

 

"Ho deciso di cercare la fiducia. Quello che ho effettivamente trovato è stato il puro desiderio di lei. Questa ricerca mi ha portato a una diversità di persone, incontri e atteggiamenti nei confronti della vita, insieme a speranza e fallimento. per quanto ogni persona sia diversa c'è qualcosa che ci unisce tutti: il desiderio di qualcosa di cui possiamo fidarci."

Il libro parla di immediatezza e onestà. L'interazione di immagini in bianco e nero e ritratti dai colori delicati costringe lo spettatore di volta in volta a intraprendere una nuova esperienza. Longings unisce più storie, quelle degli altri, nel modo più genuino possibile.
