Dagmar - Dag - Winslow, an eccentric art dealer with a sharp wit and a deep distaste for Christmas, thought she had found the perfect escape. Fleeing the relentless holiday chaos of New York City, she booked an isolated cabin deep in the mountains—a sanctuary promised to be free of yuletide cheer. No decorations, no carols, no crowds. Just peace, quiet, and a chance to recharge. At first, the retreat seems idyllic. The snow-blanketed wilderness provides the perfect backdrop for solitude, and the cabin's cozy interior offers the tranquility Dag craves. But her plans are shattered when a boisterous, overly festive family arrives unannounced, claiming the cabin was double-booked. With their car conveniently breaking down in the freezing weather, Dag has no choice but to let them stay—for one night, at least. What starts as a begrudging compromise quickly spirals into chaos. and then into an all-out war over Christmas. Dag tries to protect hers escape from the holidays using the cabin's smart-home system to sabotage celebrations of intrusive guests, but the family proves unexpectedly well prepared for her resistance—and stubbornly cheerful. Tensions escalate until late at night and when they reach the peak it turns out that the crazy family has disappeared without a trace leaving behind considerable destruction. Then it starts to get even weirder. No one wants to believe Dag about the mysterious guests visiting. There is no visible trace of them or data in the rental agency. Confused Dag starts to dig deeper into the subject looking for clues discovering that what happened to her last night was not an isolated incident but has been happening cyclically for a very, vary long time and no one has yet figured out why and how. Darkly humorous, sharply satirical, and tinged with mystery, People talk: Dag vs. Christmas explores the absurdities of holiday traditions, the weight of grudges, and the unexpected ways the spirit of the season can manifest—even in the most reluctant of hearts. But will Dag emerge victorious in her war against Christmas, or is the holiday magic she despises far more powerful than she imagined? This is not your typical Christmas story—it's an offbeat, suspenseful journey into the heart of the holidays, perfect for those who prefer their festive tales with a sharp edge and a touch of the surreal.
