There is no Such Thing as Luck.

Do you believe in luck, do you think that some people are born with a star and others are born starry? Do you resign yourself to accept what fate has in store for you or do you fight to change it? You can identify and seize the opportunities that come your way. You can choose the options best suited to your goals and values. You can execute your plans with efficiency, perseverance and creativity. You can evaluate your results, learn from your experiences and continuously improve. In this book I will show you how to do it. I will show you how confirmation bias, the halo effect and the gambler's fallacy work, which are the main psychological obstacles that prevent us from seeing reality as it is and make us believe in luck. I will explain how to identify and take advantage of the windows of possibility that open up in your path, how to choose the most appropriate options for your goals and values, how to execute your plans with efficiency, perseverance and creativity, and how to evaluate your results, learn from your experiences and continuously improve. This book is not a magic formula or a foolproof recipe. It does not guarantee success or happiness. But it offers you a way of thinking and acting that will help you take control of your life and become the protagonist of your story.
