Irene is a calm and rational animal evolutionist with the special ability to understand animal language. She lives a peaceful and independent life until one day, she finds the unconscious mermaid Leo on the beach. Leo longs for eternal life, and while taking care of him, Irene gradually finds that she cannot resist Leo's enthusiasm and dependence.
