A 5 settimane dall’uscita nel maggio 1973, sia l'LP che il singolo "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)" arrivarono contemporaneamente ai primi posti delle classifiche degli album e dei singoli statunitensi. Amorevolmente supervisionato da Dhani e Olivia Harrison, Living in the Material World è stato remixato dai nastri originali per il 50° anniversario.
