Connor lived an average life for eighteen years. Between procrastinating in school and butting heads with his stepfather, the most he had to worry about was pining for romance. But when the metal band in town turns out to be a deadly cartel of blood-hungry vampires, his senior year of high school goes from mismanaged to manhunt, and he becomes the number one target for every blood sucker in the city. Not only are they real-life descendants of King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table, they are both vampires and vampire hunters. They operate under a strict code, obey the Pendragon queen, and are far from forthcoming with Connor about, well, anything really. Especially the truth. Caught in a whirlwind of deadly ghouls, criminals, and creatures of the night, Connor doesn't know who to trust as he fights for the lives of himself and his friends. With stakes this high, Connor plays a deadly game of cat and mouse with both sides. Every vampire in the city wants to control him. If they can't? Whether the evil undead or the mythical knights, Connor learns quickly that vampires and mercy don't mix.
